Hero Honda to launch new low cost bike

India's largest bike manufacturer Hero Honda planning for another new bike launch to target the rural market in India. This new bike will be launched in India from Hero Honda low cost product portfolio. New Hero Honda low cost bike will surely got big advantage over its another contemporaries due to its low price tag.

After getting huge success in 150cc bike segment market now Hero Honda turned their eyes to capture the mass segment market also and for this they plans to launch new low price bike in India. The company indicates that they are ready to launch low cost bike in this segment which can stand the test of performance and durability.

"The launch of new low price bike has been on our horizon for a long time but we have not been able to come up with a solution till now," Pawan Munjal, Managing Director, Hero Honda, said. “But the launch of this bike is not the end and we are hoping to come up with a solution... we continue to work on this." he added.

Hero Honda is a joint venture between Hero Motors and the Japanese auto manufacturer Honda and they shares a long relationship in India. Hero Honda has its third manufacturing plant at Haridwar in Uttrakhand that got the a 10-year full excise duty exemption and will enjoy full income exemption for first five years of operation. Hero Honda expects the healthy sales in its first quarter as well. The company has already records its net profits in the last quarter. Its dependency on financing has also come down to 20% in 2008-09 from 55% in 2006-07.
